AWS Cloud Foundations is built for learners and junior IT staff who want a practical first step into cloud computing. The course explains cloud ideas in plain language, then turns them into guided labs so participants understand what they are clicking, why it matters, and how a cloud workload should be operated after deployment.

Participants learn the AWS global infrastructure model, shared responsibility, account safety, IAM basics, compute, storage, networking, security groups, monitoring, backups, and billing awareness. The focus is not memorising service names. The focus is learning how cloud services fit together and how to make sensible decisions when a business asks whether a workload should move to AWS.

The course is useful for students, support engineers, junior administrators, software learners, and business teams that need a clearer understanding of cloud discussions. Examples are kept practical for Sri Lankan organisations: internet reliability, budget control, administrative access, backup expectations, and support handover all matter.

By the end, learners complete a small guided project and can explain the architecture, cost considerations, and security choices. This makes the course a strong foundation before advanced AWS certification preparation or real migration work.

The learning experience is intentionally practical. Each session connects the topic to a real implementation decision: who owns the system, how access is controlled, what can fail, how the work is documented, and how a support team would maintain it after delivery. This makes the course useful for learners who want more than definitions and for organisations that want training to improve workplace capability.

OneAccess can also discuss private batches for Sri Lankan organisations that need the examples adjusted to their environment. Corporate groups can focus exercises around existing tools, current risks, internal skill gaps, and the type of project the team is expected to support after the training.

1. Cloud concepts and AWS accounts

Understand regions, availability zones, shared responsibility, IAM basics, and account safety.

2. Compute, storage, and networking

Work with EC2, S3, VPC concepts, security groups, load balancing, and simple architecture choices.

3. Operations and cost awareness

Practise monitoring, backup thinking, billing alerts, tagging, and documentation for small cloud workloads.

4. Mini project

Deploy and explain a simple cloud workload with security, cost, and operational notes.
